Line 2：包承，小人吉，大人否亨。 Embracing submission — the small prosper while the great are blocked. In stagnation, flexibility is rewarded.
Line 3：包羞。 Embracing shame. In difficulty, endure the humiliation.
Line 4：有命无咎，畴离祉。 Heaven decrees — no harm. Those of like kind share blessings. When fate turns, things improve naturally.
Line 5：休否，大人吉。其亡其亡，系于苞桑。 Standstill ending — the great prosper. Near collapse, tie yourself to the thriving mulberry — anchor yourself.
Line 6：倾否，先否后喜。 Standstill overturned — first blocked, then joyful. Hardship reversed, sorrow turns to delight.
