Nourishment — Hexagram Detail — I Ching 64 Fortune Telling

巽宫Element木#27

Yi (Nourishment) — Mountain above Thunder below. Like chewing food in the mouth. Nourish your body and virtue; what you say and eat both matter greatly.

Line-by-Line

Line 1:
Abandoning your sacred turtle to watch me feast — danger. Forsaking inner wisdom to envy others.
Line 2:
Reversed seeking of sustenance — begging beneath the hill; campaigning brings danger. Wrong approach yields nothing.
Line 3:
Violating the way of nourishment — danger for ten years; no benefit. Wrong direction magnifies failure.
Line 4:
Reversed seeking — auspicious. The tiger glares, desire chases desire — no harm. Adjust direction and restart.
Line 5:
Against convention — staying upright brings good fortune, but do not cross great rivers. Follow the routine; avoid risk.
Line 6:
You provide nourishment — danger but auspicious; favorable to cross great rivers. Taking responsibility is risky but rewarding.
