The Well — Hexagram Detail — I Ching 64 Fortune Telling

震宫Element木#48

Jing (The Well) — Water above Wind below. Wind enters the well to draw water and nourish people. Like a well, nourish yourself and others; maintain inner clarity.

Line-by-Line

Line 1:
The well is muddy — undrinkable; no creatures come to the old well. Resources are neglected; renewal is needed.
Line 2:
Small fish in the well, but the jar is broken. Resources exist but cannot be accessed.
Line 3:
The well is cleared but not drunk — it saddens my heart; it can be drawn now. With a wise king, all benefit. Talent unrecognized — await a discerning leader.
Line 4:
The well is lined with bricks — no harm. Refine and perfect; build a solid foundation.
Line 5:
The well water is clear and cold — a pure spring to drink. Resources are pristine; use with confidence.
Line 6:
The well is open without a cover — sincerity brings supreme good fortune. Share resources openly; all benefit.
