Lü (The Wanderer) — Fire above Mountain. Fire moves on the mountain like a traveler on the road. Be humble and cautious on the journey; adapt to circumstances.

Line 1:旅琐琐,斯其所取灾。
On the journey, petty and calculating — this invites calamity. Travel with generosity, not pettiness.
Line 2:旅即次,怀其资,得童仆贞。
Arriving at lodging on the journey — carrying wealth, attended by a young servant; upright. Finding a place to rest.
Line 3:旅焚其次,丧其童仆,贞厉。
Burning the lodging on the journey — losing the young servant; danger for the upright. Losing shelter and support.
Line 4:旅于处,得其资斧,我心不快。
Finding lodging on the journey — gaining wealth and tools, but the heart is not happy. Material gain without inner peace.
Line 5:射雉,一矢亡,终以誉命。
Shooting a pheasant — one arrow hits; earning praise and rank. Precise effort brings honor.
Line 6:鸟焚其巢,旅人先笑后号咷。丧牛于易,凶。
The bird's nest burns — the wanderer first laughs, then weeps. Losing the ox at the border; danger. Complacency invites disaster.
