Conflict — Hexagram Detail — I Ching 64 Fortune Telling

离宫Element火#6

Song (Conflict) — Heaven above Water below. Heaven and water move in opposite directions. Conflict is not desirable; if possible, settle disputes. Step back for a broader perspective.

Line-by-Line

Line 1:
Do not prolong disputes — minor arguments, but ultimately auspicious. Favorable to meet great people; not favorable for major ventures. Cut losses early.
Line 2:
Losing the case, returning home — the three hundred households of the village are spared. Yield when you cannot win; self-preservation first.
Line 3:
Relying on ancestral virtue — danger but final good fortune. Serving the ruler yields no personal achievement. Hold onto what you have.
Line 4:
Losing and returning home — accept fate and stay upright for good fortune. Let go and focus on your own path.
Line 5:
Going to court — supremely auspicious. With justice on your side, you prevail.
Line 6:
The ruler awards finery, but strips it away three times in a day. What is given can be taken; stay humble.
