Jie (Limitation) — Water above Lake. Lake holds limited water — restraint is necessary. Everything needs moderation; limitation is a virtue, but don't over-restrict.
Line-by-Line
Line 1：不出户庭，无咎。 Not leaving the courtyard gate — no harm. At the start of limitation, staying in is best.
Line 2：不出门庭，凶。 Not leaving the outer gate — danger. When it is time to go, staying put becomes a problem.
Line 3：不节若，则嗟若，无咎。 Without restraint, there is sighing — but no harm. Recognizing the problem leads to correction.
Line 4：安节，亨。 At peace with limitation — open and smooth. Accept limits with a calm heart.
Line 5：甘节，吉。往有尚。 Sweet limitation — auspicious. Moving forward earns honor. Embrace limits as something sweet.
Line 6：苦节，贞凶。悔亡。 Bitter limitation — even uprightness brings danger. But regret will vanish. Excessive limitation becomes suffering.
